Preparing for an on-site visit:
- All personal items must be secured according to reading room policies. Only laptops, phones and chargers are allowed. Colored paper and pencils are available.
- Materials must be requested 3 business days in advance at most reading rooms. David Rumsey Map Center materials can be retrieved in 1 business day.
Stanford University users
Stanford community members include current students, postdocs, staff, faculty, appointed visiting scholars, and fellows.
First time users will be directed to a registration form to create an Aeon account.
External visitors
Please note: On-site visitors must register separately for building access. Instructions will be emailed to you after you create your Aeon account.
Upon arrival, you must present a government-issued photo ID, and have your photo taken.
